For the Sunday session, GuardianCon 8 will be at private locations. Further details to come as the schedule fills out

The following are the game titles. I am sorting through and adding descriptions.

Land of Confusion
Game system: Villains and Vigilantes
Rating: PG-13
Players: 3-8

Basic description/write-up: An eclectic collection of superheroes races to stop a diabolical madman before a volcanic eruption destroys a tropical island!

Note that ANYONE can play in this adventure, and pre-generated characters will be provided if desired. NOT part of any campaign, so no backstory need be understood, players don’t need to feel as if they might play a character incorrectly, or the like. Players may submit their own player-characters to the GM for potential use as well, if they wish. No previous understanding of the game system is necessary to play!

A Bite to Die for

Kingdoms in Peril

The Sword and the Shadow
Game System: Modified 1-roll Runequest: Land of the Samurai!
Rating PG-13?
Players: 4-8

Description: In the time of 3 emperors, the Empire of the Pearl is torn by war and strife. You are sent by Emperor Tadekei IV, rightful heir to the Imperial Throne, to investigate a mysterious death at the ancient fortress of Yamashiro, ancestral home of the Kumazoku clan. Resting high in the southeast mountains, Yamashiro is a strategic site for overlooking the Denjo Valley, securing mineral wealth, and patrolling the mountain trails, and of course, the Kumazoku are powerful allies to the True Emperor. You must determine if danger threatens the Empire!

Pre-Made characters.

Plan C … The Other Guys

CSI: Ravensgate, "A Fistful of Garys"
CSI: Ravensgate is a dark comedy best described as The Shield on acid.

Quest for the Crown of Command
Game System: Talisman, The Magical Quest Game (Boardgame)
Genre: Fantasy
Rating: PG
Players: up to 6
GM: Tobin Belisle

Once, long ago, a mighty wizard, once ruled over the land… Using the power of a magical crown, forged in the Valley of Fire by spirits cruelly enslaved to arcane magic. For many centuries the wizard reigned supreme until, after a long life spent amongst his books and spells, he sensed his days were drawing to an end. He resolved to hide his crown in the most perilous part of the most dangerous region in his realm, setting fearsome guardians around it. Once he had done so, he perished, proclaiming with his dying breath that only a champion with the strength, wisdom, and courage to take his crown would rule in his stead.

Hundreds of years have passed, and the realm, long ungoverned and unprotected, has grown ever more dangerous, becoming infested by monsters and troubled by innumerable evils. To this very day, the ancient legend draws gallant heroes to the troubled land – each seeking the Crown of Command and the kingship of the realm. So far no one has proven worthy of the challenge. The seekers’ bones lie bleached and broken upon the Plain of Peril or else cast idly aside to be gnawed by wild beasts and monsters.

Players will take on the role of pregenerated questers

Living Legends superheroic
I'll be swiping material from classic V&V adventures to flesh out a basic four-color setting. Come and try out Jeff Dee's new game, plus the semi-authorized extra 96 pages written by yours' truly. Characters provided, or bring your own (Standard, up to 20 CP experience). See GuardianCon Yahoo group files section for a copy of the Unofficial Living Legends Companion.

Dust to Dust
Game system: Into the Shadows (basically same system as West End Games’ d6 Star Wars adapted for Horror/Adventure)
Rating: PG-13 to R (could be a bit gory)
Players: 2-8

Basic description/write-up: Strange deaths at the Field Museum in Chicago may be connected to an anonymous donation of a vengeful mummy and a collection of cursed Egyptian artifacts.

Pre-generated characters will be provided, or players may feel free to generate their own (as with Star Wars d6, it takes literally a few minutes). No previous understanding of the game system is necessary to play!

Nuclear Football

Keeping Up With The Cardassians (Sci-Fi)
The pre-gens for Keping Up With The Cardassians are not publicly available, but they are based upon the unpublished fanfic novel Renegade Sons. Keeping Up takes place in 2387, four years after the events of that novel and 13 years prior to GuardianCon 7's Star Trek 77000. Where Renegade Sons was serious, Keeping Up will be played for laughs.

Star Wars Bandit Squadron III: The End of the Rebellion

V&V superheroic, using my Aberrant V&V
Aberrant V&V is a setting where supers are gods and everyone else is crunchy and good with ketchup. The rule extensions achieve this by reducing the game effects of anyone lacking super powers, but most players won't notice any mechanical difference - it's the story that counts. I'll be swiping material from classic V&V adventures. Characters provided or bring your own. See GuardianCon Yahoo group files section for a copy of the rule extensions.

Too Many Damn Vampires!
A Ravensgate Adventure

I'll have the schedule in a better visual form soon.
